Undulatus Asperatus is a new type of cloud identified in 2009.
Undulatus Asperatus means “agitated waves”.
It is first photographed in 2006, at Cedar Rapids in Iowa, U.S.
and later in France, Norway, Norway, Salcome (Devon), Middlesbrough and Perthshire (Scotland) similar type of cloud formation seen.
Cloud Appreciation Society (CAS) collected as many photograph of Undulatus Asperatus and Meteorologist, Graeme Anderson discovered that high level winds vapour change into waves and swirls shaped.
And it is the first cloud added to the International Cloud Atlas of the World Meteorological Organization after cirrus intortus in 1951.
