Magic Kingdom Park known as Magic Kingdom is the first-built part of the four theme parks at the Walt Disney World Resort in Bay Lake, Florida opened on October 1, 1971 with 23 attractions is designed and built by WED Enterprises as a dedication to fairy tales and Disney characters. It is resembled by the Cinderella castle in the 1950 film. Its construction began in the year 1967 by the Walt Disney Company. The tunnels in the park are made on the first story giving the park a height of 107feet. Magic Kingdom is divided into 6 parks each with a different theme namely Main Street, U.S.A., Adventureland, Frontierland, Fantasyland, Tomorrowland and Liberty Square.
Main Street, U.S.A. – It is a street filled with shops that sells merchandise goods and food products. It showcases the Forced perspective technique in the Cinderella Castle built there.
Adventureland- As the name suggests it represent the adventures of foreign lands including those of Africa, Asia, the Middle East, South America and many more.
Frontierland- Here the patrons watch the romantic plays of the cowboys and Native Americans from the old western culture of America.
Fantasyland- It is based on a medieval carnival style pointing out to the fantasies and dreams with Storybook Circus and Enchanted Forests as its parts.
Tomorrowland- It is made on the theme of future viewed from the 1950s. It features the use of rockets, UFOs and robots by the people.
Liberty Square- It has its foundation on an American Revolutionary provincial town. The park hosts the Liberty Belle riverboat.
It has other attractions also including the Mickey’s Toontown and is opposite to the Seven Seas Lagoons covering an area of about 133 acres. It can be reached by using any of the services of the Walt Disney World Monorail System, The Staten Island- style ferry boats, buses etc. Tickets for the entrance are available at the Transportation and Ticket center. Also the Walt Disney World Railroad runs along the circumference of the park having stations at Main Street, U.S.A, Frontierland and Fantasyland. It is close to 3 hotels particularly to Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Disney’s Polynesian Resort and Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa.The Disneyland and the Magic Kingdom are differentiated by their respective taglines. It has been associated with 5 incidents of Hurricane Floyd, the September 11 attacks, Hurricane Frances, Hurricane Charley and Hurricane Wilma. Magic Kingdom is featured in many Disney movies too.
