Bhutan is a small country in the Himalayan Region,is a land-locked country in South Asia.It is bordered by Chumbai valley of Tibet and Sikkim in the west,China in the north, Arunachal Pradesh in the east and Assam and West Bengal in the south.The kingdom of Bhutan is a country with strong ancient Buddhist Culture.Capital of Bhutan is Thimpu.Bhutan has an area of 38,394 km square.The country has a multiethnic population of 760,000 (2015).Official language is Dzongkha.Financial centre of Bhutan is Phuentsholling. The Government is parliamentary democracy.The  king, is the head of the state,who known as a ”Dragon King”.Since 17th century,the official name of Bhutan has been Druk Yul, land of the Thunder Dragon.Here buddhism was first introduced in the 7th century AD.Bhutan’s political development was heavily influnced by religion.Bhutan has five distinct seasons: summer,monsoon,autumn,winter and spring.Bhutan has a rich primate life and rare species.The Takin is Bhutan’s national animal.More than 5,400 species are found here.Almost 56.3% of all bhutanese are involved with agriculture.The prime minister of Bhutan is Tshering Tobgay.The Royal Bhutan Army is Bhutan’s military service.Bhutan has no Airforce and no Navy because of it is a landlocked country.The currency of Bhutan is Ngultrum. ii.  Taktsang Monastery,known as ”Tiger’s Nest”,is a famous buddhist sacred place in Paro valley,Bhutan.It is also famous for hiking the upper Paro Valley.

iii. Punakha Dzong is administrative centre of Punakha District.It is the second oldest and largest Dzong in Bhutan.The Dzong is located at the conflunce of the Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu.

iv. Dochula Pass with 108 stupas or chorten is situated on the road from Thimpu to Punakha.The Pass is located at an altitude of 3,100 meters.

vi. Buddha Statue in Thimpu is a 169 feet tall statue of Buddha.This gold and bronz statue is visible from anywhere in Thimpu.
